2011 Questar Awards – the international accolade for excellence in video communications
The Institute’s QP video, an animated film showing how students can pass different stages in their journey to become a CPA, won a silver prize in the 2011 Questar Awards.
International awards for communications excellence – "Mercury Awards"
The Institute's May Moon books, including The May Moon Money-Wise Box Set and May Moon Rescues the World Economy, won the gold award for custom publications.
The Institute's brochure describing the accounting profession and the Institute's business for lay people, The secret ingredient of Hong Kong's success, won the bronze award for corporate brochures.
International video communications awards – "MerComm Questar Awards"
The Institute's documentary video, The Money Secrets of Children, won three grand honours in this international competition, topping nearly 100 entries from 10 countries around the world.

International annual report awards – "MerComm ARC Awards"
The Institute's annual reports won a number of prizes in this annual competition which is viewed as the "Academy Awards" of publishing, besting entries from more than 35 countries.

- Bronze award for photography
The 2009 annual report featuring the Institute's "Rich Kid, Poor Kid" corporate social responsibility programme won:
- Gold award for interior design
- Silver award for photography

Asia Pacific PR Awards 2007
The Hong Kong Institute of CPAs’ "Rich Kid, Poor Kid" financial education programme won two awards, winning over more than 300 submissions from throughout the Asia Pacific region.
In the category of Social Education and Philanthropy:
- Corporate Social Responsibility – Campaign of the Year (first place)
- Nonprofit Campaign of the Year – Certificate of Excellence (second place)

Hong Kong Council of Social Service
The Hong Kong Institute of CPAs’ "Healthy Budgeting Family Debt Programme" was the first-ever debt counselling service that helped more than 400 families in acute financial difficulties stemming from the economic crisis of 2002. It was written in collaboration with the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals.
